Quip is a document collaboration and creation tool for teams. It combines chat, docs, task lists, and spreadsheets in one app. Onna connects directly with Quip's Admin API to collect all information from an enterprise account in native format, as well as all relevant metadata.
To collect from Quip Enterprise you'll need access to a Quip admin account. The admin API must be enabled on your account by Quip prior to running a collection.

We currently support three sync modes - one-time & auto-sync and archive.
One-time: A one-way sync that collects information only once.
Auto-sync: Onna will perform a full sync from the data source first. Onna will keep the data source in mirrored sync. Any deletions from the data source will be deleted in Onna, as well.
Auto-sync and archive: Onna will perform full sync and archive the information collected. Onna will then automatically sync and archive any new information after the original sync.
You can export data and metadata in eDiscovery ready format. Load files are available in a dat, CSV, or custom text file.

When creating a Quip Enterprise collection, there’s new and optimized sync that will allow you to collect documents from the entire organization.
Documents will be listed under the user who created the document. You can currently create this collection only using the API. We recommend you have only one of these collections per account. Please contact support if you wish to configure this collection.
For this integration, you'll need access to be an admin in Onna and proceed to the workspace you'd like to add the data source in. Select the icon for adding a new source and choose Quip Enterprise.
The first section covers the Source name. This is the name of your source in Onna. We've pre-filled it with the name of the source you're adding however this is entirely customizable.
The next screen will ask you for the 'Client ID' and 'Client secret'. These fields are part of a Quip application that needs to be created for Onna. You can create this from the "Settings → Integrations" on your Quip Admin panel. Onna requires the "USER_READ" and "ADMIN_READ" permission.
You also have to make sure that you're signed into Quip on your browser with the user that you're using for the collection. Additionally, if your Quip site is hosted on a custom Quip URL, you can enter that on the hostname line starting with "https://platform" and then your domain. If your site is hosted on Quip.com, you can leave that blank.
Once you've entered these fields click 'Connect'.
This will direct you to log in, or if you're already logged in, it will redirect you back to Onna. Here you can select to sync Folders and/or Chats, and to include the "Trash".
You can also set a date range and the sync mode.
The next page will ask you for your users to collect from, or you can load the users' list.
If you choose to enter a user, you can verify the user exists with the arrow icon.
This will turn into a checkmark for the user existing, or display an exclamation point for not existing.
Click Next to load the folder tree.
You can choose to "Select all folders" or wait for them to load.
Click "Finish" to start the collection.
When you click on the Quip Enterprise data source, you will start seeing results being populated.
From this screen, you are able to filter results by date range, categories, and/or extensions using the menu on the left.
Quip pages in Onna
All Quip pages are stored as HTML - this is the format that Onna receives them in. We try our best to replicate this formatting on the platform. Remember that you can always get to the original document in Quip from Onna by clicking the arrow within the document viewer:

Chat notes are stored at the bottom along with all other metadata collected regarding the page. Changes to the Quip page will show up at the bottom of the page in Onna - edits will be demonstrated in green and deleted content in red.
Quip's formatting exists mainly within their platform. We try our best to replicate it but in some cases may not get an exact match.
We do not receive content from the following App styles on Quip:
A number of the other App pages that they offer, such as Product Launch Plan or Account Review, are combinations of the app styles above.
However, any content that is written directly to the page, such as text, titles, or comments (for instance - comments made on a Kanban card) we do collect as it falls under their API. We also collect the document's metadata.
