Two-step verification–also known as two-factor authentication, multi-factor authentication, or 2FA–is the process of providing two or more pieces of evidence of authentication before being granted access to a software, account. computer, etc.
You can enable two-step verification in your Onna user account for an extra layer of security when signing in.
Install your preferred authenticator app before following this tutorial. You can use any authenticator app, here's a few examples:

Google Authenticator (for Android and iOS)

Duo Mobile (for Android and iOS)

Microsoft Authenticator (for Android, iOS, and Windows Phones)

Okta (for Android and iOS)
To enable two-step verification:
1. When you're in Onna, click your avatar, then select User preferences.

2. In the Account preferences section, turn on Two-step verification.

3. On the confirmation dialog, click the arrow button.

4. Enter your password, then click Next.

5. Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app, then click Next.

6. Enter the security key from your preferred authenticator app, then click Next.

7. Store your backup keys somewhere safe, then click Finish.
You can use backup keys when you don't have access to your authenticator app.

That's it! Next time you sign in, two-step verification will be on and you'll be asked to enter a key from your authenticator app or a backup key.
How to disable two-step verification
If you have two-step verification enabled and want to disable it:
1. When you're in Onna, click your avatar, then select User preferences.

2. In the Account preferences section, turn off Two-step verification.

3. Enter your password, then click Confirm.

4. Enter the security key from your preferred authenticator app, then click Confirm.

You’re done! Next time you sign in, two-step verification will be disabled and you can sign in with your username and password.
